Convert is the simplest way to swap one cryptocurrency for another on Akunosai. There is no order book and no order type to choose: you pick two coins, see exactly how much you will receive and confirm. It suits beginners and anyone who wants a quick swap without placing a trade.
How Convert works
- You get a firm quote: the amount shown is the amount you receive.
- A quote is valid for 10 seconds. After that, press "Refresh quote" to get a new one at the current price.
- The rate already includes a 0.1% spread. There is no separate fee.
- Coins are taken from your Spot account, and the new coin arrives in your Spot account.
- Only your available balance can be converted; funds locked in open orders are not used.
- Each conversion must be worth at least 1 USDT and at most 50,000 USDT.
Convert step by step
- Log in and open Convert. If your Spot account is empty, make a deposit first; see how to deposit and withdraw USDT.
- In the upper field choose the coin you pay with and enter the amount, or press "Max" to use your whole available balance.
- In the lower field choose the coin you want to receive. Use the search to find it quickly.
- Press "Preview conversion" and check the rate and the amount you will receive.
- Confirm while the quote is still valid. The new coin appears in your Spot account at once, and the swap is listed under "Recent conversions".
Which coins can I convert?
Convert works with the coins traded on Akunosai spot markets. Every spot market is quoted in USDT, so a swap between two other coins, for example BTC to ETH, goes through USDT in two steps. You do not have to do anything extra: the quote already covers both steps, and the 0.1% spread is charged once.
Convert or spot trading?
For a swap between USDT and another coin, Convert and a basic spot trade cost about the same. For a swap between two other coins, Convert charges its spread once, while doing it by hand on spot takes two trades and two fees.
